Bye Bye Holidays, Hello Exams! Since most of my friends are spending their days in the books at the moment, I figured it would be fun to do an #OOTD inspired by the University Look. How to walk to classes while looking effortlessly chic? I got the answer! And there is more: for this #OOTD I convinced Alex to join me for menswear inspiration and I think he did an amazing job. Let’s check it out!
When you are too busy studying, you most definitely not want to get too complicated with your outfit. Therefore, the first (and very obvious) ground rule for effortlessly chic is: keep it simple! As you can see I went for a basic Zara shirt in combination with a checkered A-line skirt: warm and comfy, but still cute.
The second thing which is important for a chic school outfit are the colors. Black and white is always a safe option, but for today’s outfit I felt inspired by warmer colors: brown and burgundy red. These colors are trending as we speak and I happen to love them, happy me! Is it just me or do they also give a little 70’s touch to my outfit? Anyways, the neutrals are always good for the chic look, so all you have to do is ask yourself: does the color scream? If the answer is yes, don’t wear it as one of your basics. As a fun touch for an accessory? Go for it!
And last but not least: you NEED a bag to drag all your books around, so you might as well go for a cool one! This oldskool leather bag from Ruitertassen really gives my outfit that final touch and is super practical as well. The best part is the fact that these oldskool bags are made with great quality and they will only start looking better with the years, unlike most other bags I ever took to class. Besides, I love the vintage style of the bag because… vintage! Do I need to say more?
How amazing is it that at the moment it’s trending again for men to suit up and look classy? I’m a fan! Alex is wearing a shirt under his jumper with his tie tucked in (yes, I was inspired by Nate from Gossip Girl) combined with his beige skinny fit jeans. This fit makes the look a bit more casual, otherwise it would go into the direction of ‘business man’ instead of ‘college student’ and that’s not the look we were going for!
For Alex I also decided to go for neutrals with a beige jeans and a grey/blue-ish sweater. However, the combination of different structures and layers makes the look more interesting, just as the small burgundy red detail on his socks! Finally, Alex’ outfit also got its final touch with the oldskool leather bag from Ruitertassen, who do you think wore it better? ;)
Finally, the Christmas days are starting tomorrow! I’m sure all of us had some small dramas about what to wear, and I am very curious which outfit you went for in the end! Last week you were already able to see a sneak peek of my Christmas Eve outfit and now I am sharing all the details, I hope you like it :)
What I find tricky about Christmas outfit’s is mainly the color combination because there are so many possibilities. Christmas Tree Red & Green… Snowy White, Blue & Silver… Cozy Fireplace Red & Gold… I tend to love all of the combinations and start mixing them up, which doesn’t always result in the best outfits. This Christmas I’m going for a classic safe Black & Gold: a classy look with a touch of glam for the special occasion but still perfectly suitable for a cozy family gathering.
So… what am I actually wearing? You might recognize the black ‘pants’ which is in fact my beloved jumpsuit from Loretta Piovano. I changed its look by wearing this beautiful shirt from Zara over it. I love the material; it’s very thin and shiny, which gives an amazing light effect while moving. By combining this straight-on look with my black heeled booties I was aiming for a Balmain-inspired look, powerful yet feminine, do you think I pulled it off? Last but not least… accessories! I’m wearing two bracelets by Quoins which are gold with black leather details and a beautiful basic yet strong golden necklace which emphasizes the neckline of my shirt and makes the golden details pop. BOOM, Christmas I’m ready for you!
I will be out for the coming three days to be with my family and friends, so for now I am wishing you the happiest of holidays! You won’t have to miss me for long though, I will see you guys again soon with ANOTHER Giveaway for NYE! Yes, you guessed it right, I just really love the holidays!
Lots of love and happiness,
Hey there y’all!
Every year when Christmas is getting closer I seem to develop certain habits such as: playing Michael Bublé’s Christmas album on repeat while singing and dancing around my room, staring at every single christmas decoration I can find in shops and in the streets because it is just THAT pretty, loads and LOADS of christmas shopping AND last but not least, I seem to get obsessed with the colors Burgundy Red & Gold!
This year is not an exception, as you can see! This modernized Kimono made by the brand Kimonea has a beautiful deep shade of burgundy which happens to fit perfectly with my lipstick, lucky me! The material is 100% wool so it’s super soft and warm, perfect for beating the icy winter breeze :) Since ‘oversized layering‘ is in Trend right now I decided to go for a larger size, which the owners of Kimonea made for me by hand! Aren’t they the sweetest?! Kimonea is all about designing different versions of the Japanese Kimono and has an amazing way of modernizing them along with the trends of the moment, very creative and original! If you are someone that is into the current Poncho Trend, this is definitely something for you :)
Furthermore, I kept the outfit simple and cute (if anyone has been following my #OOTD’s, you must have realized by now that’s my signature style haha!) with an oversized soft peach sweater from H&M and a faux-suede skirt from Double Agent which make the Burgundy color pop out. Since I was missing a ‘Gold Touch’ in my outfit, I took the golden ring which I got from my mother when I turned 21 as a small color accent, it never fails!
Anyway, I would LOVE to hear from you guys if you develop certain habits when Christmas is getting closer. Do you have a favorite color to wear around this time of the year? Don’t forget to leave a comment down below!
Lots of Love,
Do you already know the new Trend for this Winter? Besides the Layered Trend there is a color we won’t be able to avoid the upcoming months: Grey! I will have to be honest to you guys… I have never been a huge fan of grey, it makes me look so pale. However, after I realized I won’t be able to avoid this color anymore, I decided to dig in and experiment with different combinations.
As you can see not my full outfit is grey, by combining it with another basic color such as black and not wearing anything grey close to my face, I was able to avoid looking pale. Win for Lynn! However… this grey pants from Cortefiel definitely is the showstopper of my outfit by combining not one, not two, but THREE trends! Introducing: the grey, sporty 70’s pants!
As you might be able to see the fabric of this flared trousers is a very soft material which is mostly used for jogging pants… a.k.a. it feels like you are walking around in your PJ’s all day long, can it get more awesome?! In fact yes, yes it can. The cut of the trousers is very flattering for your legs which makes them look super long and thin.
I love how this outfit is in fact super simple, but still is a great fashion statement to wear while walking down the street on a casual day. My currently favorite fedora hat is from Mango and the thin turtleneck sweater is from Primark. To accessorize I am wearing a simple silver ring from Amor and nothing else,, I prefer minimalistic jewelry
I am very curious what you guys think about my Tripple Trend Experiment, especially since neither of them are necessarily my favorite! However, after experimenting and putting this outfit together I might fall in love with these trends after all. I guess the key is to make the trends fit with your personal style, and for me this outfit proves that it’s definitely possible!
Lots of Love,

We cannot avoid it anymore guys… Winter is arriving and it’s time to snuggle up! If we don’t have to be outside to rock the layered trend, it is SO much better to stay inside in your PJ’s, am I right?! I have a confession to make to you guys: I love fashion with all my heart, but if I would have to choose my working outfit I will always go for the fluffy pyjama! Lucky me that a lot of my blogging work is at home behind my laptop… ;)
Anyways, we were talking about PJ’s! Where to get them this season?! Last friday I received news that the Cozy Collection from Hunkemöller had been launched and since this is one of my favorite brands, I rushed to one of the few shops here in Barcelona to check it out!
Like a little kid in Winterwonderland I hopped to all the different designs, the collection is so varied! Pyjama’s, blankets, fluffy onesies, socks, hats, bathrobes, and more! After trying on pretty much the full collection, I decided to go for a pink fluffy onesie to wear during my ‘Stay at home workingdays’ (IT’S SO FLUFFYYY! – yes, I made a Despicable Me reference there), and a cute Scandanavian inspired pyjama dress with a matching hat and slipper boots.
Simple, cute, comfy and soft… that’s how I would like to dress every single day! Do you guys like the looks that I chose? What kind of outfit is your favorite to wear at home?
That was it! How to rock your PJ’s #flawlessly, may your winterdays be snuggly and fluffy my dears. Now if you excuse me, it’s time to get back to my blanket and cup of tea!
Lots of Love,
