After visiting my family in the cloudy UK, I was very happy about my next trip: Spain! This week I spent all my days roaming the area around Begur, a beachtown in the north of Spain. It wasn’t only great to finally get a taste of summer again, I was also very excited to finally wear my new spring/ summer looks!
After my editorial inspiration earlier this week, now it´s time for an #OOTD inspiration! I have always feared the Crispy White outfits because I am super clumsy and I always seem to get stains on my beloved clothes, but this Spring I decided to give it a go with this look! Later on in this blog you will find out how that turned out for me haha, keep reading!
P.s. All these beautiful pictures are taken by my sweet friend and amazing photographer Naelia Salas! Thanks for helping me out :)
The sun is starting to show his face, the sky is getting blue, temperatures are rising and there is lots and LOTS of new spring fashion to discover!
Not that long ago I had a photoshoot with Ramon Marques for a spring fashion editorial, and I LOVE the results, so I just wanted to share them with you :)
Boohyah, who else loves the Rock Princess vibes?!
The stylist Mireia Rovira did a great job on the combination of unexpected elements, which I think is so important if you want to create a unique style! As you can see we will be having lots of yellow this spring. Alongside with shimmers, floral prints and statement accessories! What do you think, are you ready for these trends?
A little bit of surrealism never hurt nobody, right? ;) Fun note: the stylist made the cap herself because she couldn´t find what she had in mind… 10 points for creativity!
Anyways, I hope you guys like the pictures! What have you been up to lately? This week I will be very busy with meetings for new exciting collaborations, and also I will be working on organizing a trip back to the Netherlands! Salone della Moda (Rotterdam Fashionweek) is coming up by the end of this month and I will be there! Also I will be running around Amsterdam for some days, so if you want to meet me, leave a message! Now I´m going to get dressed and WORK IT at the gym, because taking care of your body also has to happen in between all the busy work work work stuff :)
Lots of Love,
I am especially excited about today’s #OOTD on Spring Trends because the pictures I made with Naelia Salas turned out so cool! What was supposed to be just a casual stroll around El Raval in Barcelona turned into Editorial-worthy photography, Go Team :) In case you are ever in Barcelona and you enjoy modern architecture, you should definitely check out the area around MACBA. It’s super central, right next to Las Ramblas!
So let’s get into my outfit! I challenged myself to combine two of the most popular upcoming Spring Trends : Romantic Lace and Sporty Deluxe. By layering two completely different styles and dresses you create an interesting contrast in your outfit: lenghts, materials, movements and ambients are clashing – but because of the neutral colors and minimalistic lines it works perfectly together.
Don’t you just love how the lace flows while walking?! It gives a sexy feminine touch to the ‘cool badass’ vibes from the sweaterdress and the booties.
Small tip: in case you want to try this look, you should definitely look for a sweaterdress which has an elastic in the bottom part of the dress… it just looks so much better! If you go for an A-line sweaterdress all the shapes become even more wide and it becomes unflattering. Oversized Comfy is cool, as long as the shapes are still structured.
Btw, did you notice that I am NOT wearing leggings and I actually felt the need to take my Sunglasses with me? There is actual SUNSHINE! As a Dutchie I am still trying to get used to the warmer climat advantages that Barcelona has to offer, and I am enjoying every minute of it! Every day when I wake up I look out of my window to find a bright blue sky wishing me a goodmorning… incredible! I am totally ready for this Spring/Summer Season :)
Also, let’s take a look at my accessories! They are a very important part of the look since they are giving the ‘final touch’ to my Spring Trends vibes. As you are already used from me by now, the Fedora Hat can’t be missed in this look, just as a minimalistic silver ring. I love how the Sunglasses give a touch of color with the blue/green reflections, and they are awesome because they are made from recycled wood! Other fun fact: the wide black chocker I am wearing is actually ‘handmade’! All I did was buying 30cm of wide black elastic ribbon and applying a little button on it in order to attach the ends to each other, which cost me like… 50 cents? Once again a proof that it’s not necessary to waste all of your money on the latest trends, all you need is some creativity :)
That was it! My Spring Trends Mix, I really enjoy this outfit and will be definitely wearing it a lot this Spring. I’m very curious what you guys think about the combination so leave a comment to let me know!
Lots of Love,

I’ve been super happy all week already, do you want to know why? It’s MARCH! that means that it’s almost Spring! And let’s be honest, here in sunny Barcelona it’s definitely already feeling like it – Today I was even able to go outside with just a thin faux-leather jacket, can you believe it?!
Anyways, with the temperatures rising and the warm sunshine coming back, I was in the mood for a Spring outfit with warm colors. Bordeaux Red is still a super popular color for 2016, but I traded the knits for a pastel pink floral print. I love that the wide shirt is comfy casual but still feminine, and it fits perfectly with my beige 3/4 trousers! My full outfit is from the Spanish brand Cortefiel, a shop where you will find me regularly here in Barcelona, because they are awesome :)
Earlier that day I was really happy to be invited by the brand CND to get a manicure and a masterclass about nailcare. It was a blogger event to introduce their newest Spring/Summer colors for 2016, and it was so much fun! The ladies taking care of me were the sweetest and I had the hardest time picking a color since they were all so beautiful: in the end I went for a shimmery oldpink with a hot pink nailart detail on my ringfinger, what do you guys think?!
This was the first time I tried Shellac so I am really excited to see if it actually works – you know, that nailpolish that stays on for 2 full weeks and is very hard to remove. They even gave me a special product with instructions so I will be able to take it off in 2 weeks, along with lots of other care products and 2 colors from their collection, I’m the happiest girl in the world :)
Another thing that I wanted to share with you guys: as you might have read in my previous blog, I am currently dealing with a little burnout so my March is all about experimenting with getting better. So here is an update for you guys now: I noticed that sometimes I started reacting quite cynic & pessimistic to friends and people I work with, which makes me dissapointed in myself because thats NOT who I am at all. BUT now comes the good news! Since music has a huge influence on me, I decided to make a Spotify playlist called ‘Happy Therapy‘: filled with upbeat, badass, fun and happy music, to which I listen everytime I go to meet someone in order to brighten up my mood. Guess what? It works like a charm!
Since I started listening music before my meetings I’ve had so much fun and laughed more than I might have done in the past few weeks combined. So there you go! Maybe you would like to hear I am doing better and maybe it will work for you too!
Remember everyone: the seasons are changing, everything is getting warmer and brighning up. Let’s do the same! Show kindness, make someone’s day, appreciate what you have and don’t be too hard for yourself. Ups and downs are a part of life, just make sure that you always keep looking up :)
Lots of Love and see you soon <3
P.s. Thank you Luis Lau, for making these fun pictures with me! You’re the best
